István Tóga is the new manager of the Environment Fund Administration; the decision on his appointment was published in the Official Gazette on March 11. The Environment Fund Administration is the main institution that provides financial support for the implementation of projects and programs for environmental protection; it is a public institution coordinated by the Ministry of the Environment.
István Tóga started his studies in mechanical engineering in Temesvár, but in the end, he switched to psychopedagogy. Later, he also graduated in project management for both domestic and foreign tenders.
From 2000 to 2004, he was a member of the city council of Tasnád (Tășnad) in Szatmár (Satu Mare) County, while between 2004 and 2008, he acted as a representative of Satu Mare County Council. Tóga then worked as a parliamentary adviser for eight years while he was also the manager of Tasnád City Hall’s tender department between 2008 and 2011.
For years, he has additionally managed the micro-regional association called Southwest Szatmár Action Group, which deals with EU-funded rural development tenders within the framework of the Union’s LEADER program. István Tóga ran for mayor of Tasnád in 2020 as well.
