Szekler people who want to travel by plane to their relatives in the motherland of Hungary or to other destinations can choose from many airports in Transylvania. But because of the lack of proper public transportation, it usually costs more for them to get to the airport from their home than the plane ticket itself.
Unless a traveler can ask a family member or a good friend to pick him up at Kolozsvár/Cluj-Napoca, Marosvásárhely/Târgu Mureș, Nagyszeben/Sibiu or any other airport, the way back home from the airport can actually cost several times more than the plane ticket and can also take much longer than the flight itself.
For example, if somebody wants to travel from Budapest to Szováta/Sovata, he would take a 50-minute flight from the Hungarian capital to Marosvásárhely. But because there is no public transportation from the airport to Marosvásárhely itself, he would then have to catch a taxi to the town center, take a bus to another town, and then catch a minibus (so-called “maxitaxis”). However, the maxitaxi would take him only to the city center of Szováta, from where he would have to catch a taxi again to get to his final destination. At the end of the day, despite traveling only 60 kilometers, this would take hours and cost way more than the flight itself.
Realizing this market gap, Sovatatransfer figured out a new, more convenient alternative for travelers: door-to-door transfers from the airport to your home. They provide individual and small-group transfers, directly and quickly, with their 8+1-seater minivans. For more info visit www.sovatatransfer.ro.
