State of alert extended for another 30 days

Romanian Prime Minister Florin Cîţu announced on Wednesday evening after a governmental session to extend the state of alert for another 30 days, starting June 12.

Florin Cîţu also said that during the matches of the European football championship organized in Romania, public access will be allowed up to 50% of the capacity of the National Arena.

The PM also announced that a maximum of 1,000 people can attend the outdoor events organized as a part of the campaign for the local by-election on June 27.

The government additionally increased the maximum number of people that can attend indoor private events – weddings, baptisms – to 200 people if they are able to provide two square meters per person. Previously, the number of total guests allowed was 70.
