When we launched this site three months ago, we promised to steer clear of the Dracula cliché, but in this case there is no avoiding it: a Romanian citizen filed a party registration request at the Bucharest Court under the name “Stake of Dracula Party”.
The story was reported by news portal Ziare.com, but neither the name of the would-be founder nor his reasons are known. In Romania it is relatively easy to register a political party, which at a bare minimum can be established by three persons and the party must have a headquarters and a bank account. Below is the original registration request with the name of the submitting person blacked out. The Bucharest Court has until February 25 to consider the registration.
