Members of Parliament should give up their special pensions “as a first sign of their good will,” said Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban Sunday evening on România TV’s news channel.
According to the head of government, the law on the status of deputies and senators should be modified for this purpose. When he was asked about the progressive taxation of all special pensions, Orban replied the following:
“Let’s see what will come out of the Parliament.”
The Prime Minister also highlighted that the special pensions had not been not introduced by his party, the National Liberal Party (PNL). (Source: Agerpres)
