Coronavirus testing starts in Marosvásárhely

Coronavirus testing begins today at the medical university in Marosvásárhely/Târgu Mureș.

According to Maros County Prefect Mara Togănel, they have transformed the university’s research center, and the emergency hospital has been able to quickly purchase the necessary equipment for testing. So now, locals can be tested swiftly and nearby, in the Maros/Mures County capital, without having to travel to Kolozsvár/Cluj-Napoca and wait for the results to arrive back from there. Further good news is that coronavirus testing will soon be available in the County Hospital as well, meaning that there will be two places in town where samples from suspected COVID-19 patients can be tested.
