The head of the Romanian capital’s general practitioners Sandra Alexiu warned on her Facebook page about the imminence of a flu epidemic.

“Unfortunately, the influenza storm is beginning in Romania”, Alexiu wrote. “There have already been two confirmed deaths among persons not inoculated due to the influenza.”

She advised people to get inoculated as soon as possible, before the epidemic reaches its peak expected in February. In neighboring Hungary medical authorities have also warned about the impending influenza.
